Can the video format of Tau2, Quark2, and legacy Photon cameras be changed from NTSC to PAL (or PAL to NTSC)?

For Tau2 and Quark2, the video format can be changed by the customer from NTSC to PAL, or vice-versa. The video format state can be saved into camera memory via the GUI (Graphical User Interface).

This question also applies to the legacy Photon camera models. The Photon product line and its accessories have been discontinued. The information here is provided for historical reference.

For legacy Photon cameras, the video format is hard-coded into each camera at the factory and cannot be changed in the field. Cameras are calibrated differently depending on the video format, therefore customers must specify either PAL or NTSC at the time of purchase. The Photon 640 is somewhat unique in that the user can change the video from NTSC to PAL (or PAL to NTSC) using the Camera Control GUI, however, the changed video format cannot be saved as a start-up parameter. When the camera power is cycled, the Photon 640 will revert to the factory-set video mode.
